Backing up your chats is very important because it will help you preserve your memories in case something happens. If you use WhatsApp, you should know that it is very simple to create a backup so you can save your data.
All you have to do is follow the steps we have presented below. The entire process is not complicated at all, and it shouldn’t take you more than a couple of minutes. We will use GBWhatsApp for this process.
In order to back up your chats you need to start by downloading GBWhatsApp. If you already have it installed you can skip this step. Don’t open GBWhatsApp just yet, first of all head over to WhatsApp and press Menu.
Then, go to the chat settings and press the Chat Backup button. Once this step is completed you can go to GBWhatsApp. Tap “Agree and Continue” in order to proceed. Now you need to tap “Copy WhatsApp Data”. Once you do this you will have to enter your phone number and wait for verification.
Once your phone number is verified you can see that a Restore option will appear. Tap it and hold it for a moment. After you do this the backup process will finally be done and you will have a chat backup on GBWhatsApp.
You can also backup your chats on Google Drive. This is something that you can do only from WhatsApp. If you go to the Chat backup menu you can see that there is a feature and you are allowed to adapt your Google Drive settings. Just press that button and your chats will be backed up to Google Drive. You should know however that WhatsApp backups won’t go to the Google Drive storage after November 12, 2018.
